Great way to add light to a space!
Great way to customize lighting in our apartment. We have a dark corner where our dining table is but not enough space for a standing lamp. This cord was a great way to add light and was very easy to install. It comes with heavier duty hooks, but we ended up using command hooks to hold it in place and be renter friendly. The end where you attach the light does not un-attach so just consider what lamp shade you are using. We thrifted one that had a fixed hole for the cord so we could not feed it through. However, even with that you cannot tell at all and it still looks great!

Electrician not needed.
i added this to an area of my basement that wasn't well lit. I used the KASA plug to turn it off and on. Serves my purpose.
