Coffeawood Tree Style # 2 (Large)

So we ordered a “small” and I have to say, having owned bigger birds in the past, a macaw or cockatoo would definitely be fine on here. I know it’s natural wood and the description says size may definitely vary, so I’m giving this 5 stars because they *did* include that disclaimer in an effort for full transparency, and it’s incredibly sturdy, doesn’t have a weird smell, and looks beautiful.It took my husband and I about 30 minutes from unpackaging to fully assembled to get it up. Our parrotlet is on here in pics for size (about the size of a finch), and we also have two conures. One of our girls has a slight disability so I wrapped the branches with Vet Wrap so she can more easily get around and so that the parrotlet can move around without slipping/falling since his toes are nowhere near being large enough to fit around the branches.Birds are messy so…no matter how the branches or bowls are positioned, expect to clean up regardless. They toss the seeds around anyway as they dig so the tray won’t catch everything. As far as poop and branch placement, it’s great and the tray catches all the droppings, but I’d recommend a layer of newspaper and then litter of some sort on top so you can just scoop and replace as necessary. They will poop on the tree itself because of the natural layered branches, so you’ll just have to clean the tree every so often.It’s smooth, so there is not much stick for your bird (especially depending on bird size) but I like that my human kiddos are free of getting splinters. The functionality is great—it comes with hooks to add toys and we’re also going to add some ropes so they have more of a playground feel. It’s a fairly heavy tree which again, we enjoy, because you can roll it wherever you want but it’s sturdy enough where it can’t just get knocked over.We have young birds so they were scared at first, having never seen something so big they can climb on. I’d recommend placing the tree next to their cage for a few days so they can get used to it if you have birds that aren’t accustomed to gigantic playgrounds.Overall, definitely worth the money and it’s a nice “change of scenery” if you have one or more birds!

The tighter you can get the bolts on the base to the stand it'll fix any wobbling.very heavy and sturdy.dont let small fool u.its huge .almost the full height of my bird cage.i have 4 parakeets.

Beautifully crafted piece. However, it was poorly packaged. Parts are loose in a box with the heavy trunk free to roll around. Arrived with broken branch sticking out of box, one caster ripped off and missing the mounting screws, and the two dowel pins were bent. The pins have to be perfectly parallel in order to put together, so couldn't get to seat it all the way leaving a large gap.

We ordered the stand where the tree is located on the side of the base. We got the stand with the tree in the middle. I am really glad that happened. It is very stable and easy to put together. Very sturdy.

*Seller refunded the entire purchase without requiring me to ship the defective tree back so I will most likely continue to purchase. I ended up sticking the tree inside a Christmas tree stand & that worked.Second Java tree stand I’ve purchased but never again. Came defective. A wheel was ripped off & could not be screwed back in as the holes were damaged. The bolts on the bottom of the stand were like glued to the metal casing they screw into. I didn’t realize this until after about an hour of trying to get them out & I finally did but they came out with the casing & were impossible to separate from the casing. I tried to use Gorilla glue to fix it because there’s no point to screw the bolts back into just the wood with the casings attached. It didn’t work. It’s too big to return or exchange as I would have to pay for the packaging to return it & I’ve already lost enough money on it.*Seller refunded all money!

Got the whole thing assembled just for the last step to be impossible to complete. The rods at the top of the trunk where angled away from each other, preventing the top branch piece from fitting on. These things are thick and sturdy. Hammering away at them did nothing. Hilariously, the manual suggests pinching the bars together with your hand. They must have superman strength to think that will work.Also the wheels had fallen off and the wood around the screws was cracked, leaving the entire thing pretty precarious to move around. Disassembling and returning it is too inconvenient. What a waste of money.

Listen to other reviews. This is horribly packaged. Giant heavy trunk is free to roam around an open box area. One box only. Not a box in a box. There was a hole on the outside where the trunk came through. The casters are already screwed on. One was ripped from the plywood with only 3 screws free floating in the box. I opened the entire box up, tilted all ways and layed flat. No lost screw. Easy to spot on white tile. The thick rods where the top connects to the bottom, one was bent so it didn't slide in. Had my son help me. With the trunk being so large it was hard to hold and push while he tried various tools and techniques to bend one. I finally got WD-40 and with rocking back and forth once they finally lined up helped, but then I still had to hammer it in. Took over an hour!!! Pain in the ass! Looks good. Hopefully my feathered friend will like it. Funny how the bowls were extra protected and packaged, then taped to the topper tree. The plywood base is just that. Not sure why it would be laminate plywood that would warp with water spills and poop. Also not easy to clean. Something that expensive shouldn't need newspapers or cardboard to cover it.

Just got it today and love it so far. It looks beautiful and great quality. I love it that we can hang their toys. They seem to like it
