Works as intended, easy install
Pipes started banging after getting a new washer. After putting up for it for a year, I found out about these from a you tube video. Took about 20 minutes for the whole install, and no banging, no hammering, no noisy pipes. They've been in place about a week.

Good hammer arrestor for our new washing machine
Our new washing machine is very nice, but the internal shutoff valves were extremely noisy in our plumbing system. These 2 hammer arrestors worked nicely. It was a bit difficult to install due to the new washing machine being very close to the back of the wall next to the water valves on the wall. I was able to reach behind the washer (very tight) and install both hammer arrestors on the hot and cold-water valves on the wall. That took some work, but I knew that it was going to be a tight install. We ran a load of laundry, and it was no longer hammering in our house. Good product. Hope they last for a while.

this stopped water hammer noise
I installed my new LG washing machine 4 years ago and it makes noise when I do laundry due to water pressure. I didn't know at that time and thought this is due to the old plumbing in my house, but after some research after 4 years of this water hammering noise I decided to do something, either ask plumber to fix or change the laundry machine. Since fixing the plumbing system is no cheap so I decided to try this product after some review online. After installing this product for both hot and cold water supply in laundry machine at back. The noise is reduced to 90% or almost gone. Thanks to this product and I would recommend anyone to try this if they have same issue in their laundry due to the water pressure.

Genuine part, works great!
Washer made a significant "thunk" every time the water valves opened/closed. At first I did try securing the pipes leading to the valves/hose connections, but that made little to no difference. I installed these arresters and it doesn't even make a sound any more. Complete night and day difference. The only way I can even tell the valves open now is if I listen for the sound of water running. These work absolutely perfectly! I will update in about 6 months if anything changes but they are great right now.Side note, some of the older pictures of the Sioux Chief arresters show a Sioux Chief brand sticker on them. This listing doesn't show the product with a sticker/label so I was a little concerned about what I would get, but the ones I got were in fact branded Sioux Chief. It looks like they switched to printing directly onto the metal cylinder itself as seen in the picture I'm posting instead of a separate sticker/label.

Works magic
Easy to install on Washing Machine inlet pipes and it actually minimized the water hammering.

Dead silent!
These took our washers water lines from sounding like they were about to explode through the wall, to sounding like water hammer never existed. Truly amazing. These are very well made and do not look cheap. Zero leaks. And while initially they look like they are too “long”, I realized this was for a reason. By design these allow them to clear your washer and end up being flush with it as best as possible.Install these directly at the washer itself and you’re good to go.

The Sioux Chief Mini-Resters do a good job.
They really work, but they don’t last forever. In 2014 my washing machine started making my pipes loudly vibrate & rattle every time the solenoid shut the cold water off going into the washer! Needless to say, that was not acceptable to our family which washes alot of clothes. The noise was unnerving and obviously very bad for the house’s water pipes. Someone on a plumbing website bulletin-board recommended the Sioux Chief Mini-Resters, with a slight twist. You really only need to buy 1 (in our case it was for the cold water supply only) and either attach it directly to the washer, or where the water valve is. But… this person’s experience was that the arresters would fail after about 3-4 years. So, he started using 2 (placing one on the washer, and one near the water valve), and he was still pipe-rattling free after about 8 years after installation. So I did that. A week ago the water hammer finally returned… after 7 1/2 years of service.I bought 2 new ones, installed them, and we’re back to quiet pipes. So in my experience it’s worth putting 2 on so you don’t have to worry about it again for a much longer period of time.Note: After I removed the old ones, I noticed that the ‘piston’ inside both mini-resters (that absorbs the water pressure spikes) had failed. My guess is that one of them failed ‘who-knows-when’, then the other one took the brunt of the pressure until it too finally failed. 7+ years of service is a good deal considering how easy they are to put on.
