Serves its Purpose Well
This is the best hot comb I’ve purchased that’s valued under $30. It doesn’t take long to reach any desired temperature and leaves my hair straight with two passes. (I have 4c hair, and so do other members of my family). I wouldn’t say it’s versatile, as it is a hot comb and theirs only so much you could use it for. It’s performs wonderfully, and is a cost effective alternative compared to the more expensive tools in the market. Great for beginners.

Comb straightener gets way too hot
This thing is powerful. Heats up soooo quickly. I had it at the highest setting at 450 and it burned and started smoking in less than 30 seconds. My husband has a major curly coarse beard. He likes to have it straighten and uses a bulky hair dryer brush and it has worked well. He wanted something smaller and easier to handle. This comb was way too hot for him. He burned his side face and lips on the lowest setting. I thought the husband was exaggerating, so I tried my hair. He was right, I was close to my scalp and it almost burn my head. I am not sure if we have a defective one, but even on the lowest setting it was way too hot for my hair and doesnt feel safe at all. I have another straightener that doesn’t do this at all. Do not recommend.
