Hilareco Color Changing Foundation for Aging Skin, Unisex Powder Brush, 5 Makeup Sponges

Okay here’s the real deal on this. The brushes are awesome for applying makeup and last well after washing. The foundation...it is fairly thick like most moisturizers would be. This is a foundation and moisturizer in one. It doesn’t come out of pump all that well. But who cares? I open the bottle and use the wand to get a bit. No biggie. The key is Do not use too much. Those that do will say it makes them pale. You only need a dot on forehead, cheeks, chin and nose. Not tons. Then use the brush to swirl it on. It doesn’t take two minutes like some claim. Just rub it in a bit. It smooths out the complexion and covers a bit of redness. Blends nicely with my fine lines I’m getting from getting older. It feels like a moisturizer so it is a bit dewy like a moisturizer is. Sometimes I use this alone as a moisturizer and sometimes I still use a moisturizer underneath it. It works fine both ways. Now the smell...it does NOT smell like sunscreen (tropical or coconut). No! But it does have a smell and I would describe it as a floral smell. If you have a sensitive nose that could be a problem but it goes away after a few minutes. It doesn’t linger. The coverage is sheer. If you have heavy acne you will still see it but it would probably take the redness away and look smoother. I find I can’t use it or any other regular moisturizer around my eyes (except eye cream) because my mascara gets a raccoon look if I do and this would be the same as any other moisturizer. I prefer to use this with a pressed, light coverage compact powder and it gives me a very natural look but still with a bit of color. If you’re looking for full on glamour shot this isn’t for you. This is for someone that wants a lightly made up look. It does last virtually all day. I usually just touch up with a bit of powder if I’m doing something after work but I’m not one to redo my makeup or touch up and I don’t really have to with this unless I’ve been drug through the ringer that day. If you use the pump it seems to go quickly but if you open and just apply with the wand it will last for several months!!

I initially loved the idea of this product and the ads were great. I ordered it and the very first application went on great and yes it changed color and blended in BUT it truly stinks and leaves a greasy film on your face afterwards. The smell is terrible! Imagine the worse smelling sunscreen. That’s pretty much what it smells like. I’m not sure if this is how it normally smells or if I got an old expired bottle of makeup. :( Not happy. The brushes are great but just can’t get over the high scent.

I'm going to be 100% Honest...I tried the "All in 0ne" approach and LUCKILY applied this "Color Changing" perfect all included, as advertised.My OWN PERSONAL results, as A STAND ALONE Foundation to be blunt, made me look as if I applied SUNBLOCK, or that washable white paper glue, ( that 1 children's schools use) directly onto my face! I was recording, but I'm not sure if maty be I applied "Too Much", because I'm used to having to, in order to achieve the "full coverage" look I feel I soo desperately need to help conceal my oily, acne prone, hyperpigmentation & whatever unresolved skin issues I'm dealing with at the time of application. That being said: TRUST & Believe, I didn't give up. In fact, I re-read both the packages included application/ instructions/ directions, even came back to read the product description again Just incase I hadn't able to verify the chance that maybe I ordered the wrong shade, since most products range anywhere from fair to darker toned products that have also claimed to be an EXACT MATCH, but after all that, I noticed it had settled, and even though it DID look a bit chaulky…so technically it did what it READ,but not what I expected, SOO FAR...When I decided to just continue: (BEST DECISION I'VE EVER HAD) I was only lacking the desired tone anyway, so with a dab of another liquid coverage product (Only for color) its literally became the GLUE that, to this day has been holding my entire routine together! I couldn't believe it.... it REALLY does do Everything for my face makeup routine that its promised and I really have no more "Unresolved issues"... I like to think of this as the "Primer + Setter" (perfection) of my dreams!! Ever since I started using it, I can even go 2 bed, and wake up confident, nights I sleepover at friends or especially with my man and not have half my face makeup left behind on sheets or mine! This has not only been a HUGE CONVIENCE, but a major burst of self confidence... and that's really uncommon for ONE Foundation to be able to work like this for everyone of every shade practically!

It’s an ok product. It feels light but doesn’t have the coverage I expected and in some light looks a little cakey. I’m going to try using a little less of it to experiment. The plunger doesn’t work and I don’t know how I’ll be able to use all of it, it’s very thick and doesn’t pour. I have to dig it out of the bottle. Anyway, the service was quick and it was inexpensive to give it a try. Oh, I’m 50, doesn’t cover or hide anything (wrinkles, freckles).

The 1st time I applied it I was ready to send it back because the coverage was good but so was the white and my natural color never came through. I thought I did a thin application but obviously not. The 2nd time I barely put any on. Remembering I could always add more if needed. It did a better job but I didn't get the complete coverage either. My skin tone is red so some still shows. I will try adding a little more but it is not what I saw on the videos.
