I looked for a simple heat gun to work with PVC conduit and gave this one a try. The price was at ~$29 pretty ok.Let's start with the good thing; I wanted a unit which has a firm stable stand so it can rest on a work bench while it is being used. This one does that very well and has even a small bracket on it's back base which you could use to secure it with screws.But then there is the power cable! Yes it's great that it is removable, but it's connection to the unit is so flimsy and difficult/impossible to securely "click" in place that I had it fall off during use - not what I like when holding a hot heat gun and a hot work piece.This model is rated at 1500 watts and claims to push out 1120℉ - I have had it run for several minutes but could not measure more than ~500℉ with the infrared thermometer at the metal tip where the hot air is pushed out.The controls are push buttons, very solid and work well even with gloves on. The operational indicator is NOT a display but rather a LED backlit plastic screen with symbols which lights up representing air speed and temperature - I'm fine with that as that's durable.If you are looking for a very precise high temperature heat gun, then I would recommend to invest into a different model.But for the casual use I have this one does the job... if only the temperature would be a little closer to the claims...

I got it to mess with thermoplastic at 140 degrees and Worbla at 250 degrees and it has great temperature control and the fan speed control helps a lot too. I also slowly toasted some marshmallows over it and they turned into warm, fudgy awesomeness.

i used it to melt the glue in my pistol magazine. did the job and i know it will do a job in the future.

Not much to not like about this thing. Multiple speeds and heat levels. It's sturdy and the cord detaches so I can beat the kids with it.

The heat gun is at professional level with a low price. It has features most of the heat guns in the same price range don't offer. I used it for vehicle vinyl installation and although i wasn't happy with the end results the heat gun performed up to my expectations.

Has many heat settings so you can bend tubes at your own speed and the air spred gives even heat so no bubbles

This heat gun has nice features and is comfortable to hold. The easy 6 temp setting for each of the 2 speeds is nice. I like the auto cool down feature at power off unless you hold the power button to turn off.
