These locks are really easy to install and if you do it right and have the right kind of windows it will 100% make it impossible for a kid to open. The adhesive is super strong so make sure you put them on the first time because it will ruin the lock to take it off. The problem is that if you have double hung type windows. The locks unlock so easily, barely brushing against it, that they are completely useless if your child can reach the lock. They are beyond amazing on tall sliding windows, though!

You can’t open the door or window anymore. It’s not flat enough. I wanted it for sliding door facing the backyard. You can’t unfold it and open the door. If I wanted permanent locking, there are better solutions. 😕

I like that the glue is very strong, it’s perfectly designed to be hidden behind the sliding door when it’s in the close position. When it’s on the open position the dot hits it and it looks like it can’t take a beat.

Was unable to keep the product as the product would catch when trying to open the sliding glass door, thereby “child-locking” the door every time.

Does it’s job well. My fiancé did break the 1st one off because he forgot it was there, but you have to use a lot of force to do so.
